Sarah Kelton

Sarah Kelton has offered her song "The River's Tears" as a free music download here on Climate Crossroads.

She began her career as a solo artist in 2004, hitting the Colorado folk circuit by storm. Armed with an endless list of original power-packed tunes, a reputation was quickly formed as a rising star breaking onto the scene. Some of her early songs have been used on prime time shows on NBC and FOX. Sarah Kelton collaborated with Boulder musicians and created the band Mystic Highway. Playing in various countries with new audiences was a major inspiration for her musical path. The band recorded with 2007 Independent Music Award winner, Lynn Patrick, as well as with Grammy award winning producer, Tom Wasinger. Now 28, Sarah continues on as a solo artist, bringing her unique sound to the world. Her music is now aired in the US, Canada, Mexico, and throughout the UK.

"For me, it is a must to be eco-friendly," she said. "I remember studying recycling in fourth grade, looking at pictures of landfills and learning the statistics of what was being thrown away and how this was hurting the environment.  This was my first understanding of the importance of environmental awareness.  I feel it is imperative that each person do their part to conserve resources, curb global warning and protect the environment in any way they can.  I eat mostly organic foods because I strive for optimal health and because I believe in clean farming processes that sustain a healthy earth.  To me, any product, action, or organization that is protecting the environment is important and should be supported."
